❚ 2022 K-Drone System demonstration support project selection
❚ 8 month UTM implementation project with LX Corporation·GEO&
PABLO AIR (CEO Kim Young-joon) was selected as a demonstrator of the "urban flight route development" along with LX Korea Land Information Corporation (LX Corporation) and GEO& in the 2022 K-drone system demonstration support project contest organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT).
MOLIT’s K-drone system is Korea's UTM (UAS Traffic Management), which supports drone flight monitoring and collision prevention, safe flight of drones, and identification of legal drone flights, and is a key base technology in the era of drone delivery and drone taxis.
PABLO AIR will form a consortium with LX Corporation and GEO& to lead the commercialization of next-generation drone services and conduct demonstration of the K-drone system's urban flight route development for eight months from April to November with the support of MOLIT.
▲ PABLO AIR will develop safe flight routes for delivery, ▲ LX Corporation will verify safe flight routes for filming and, ▲ GEO& will demonstrate drone traffic management functions, respectively. The plan is to utilize the data accumulated by the K-drone system demonstration so that safe flight routes can be used in the public and private sectors in the future.
PABLO AIR will secure objective data to discover safe drone delivery routes, said Kim Jung-hyun, Chief Strategy Officer of PABLO AIR. "We expect this demonstration to accelerate the commercialization of drone logistics delivery and contribute to the development of related industries."
Meanwhile, PABLO AIR was selected as a demonstrator for drone logistics delivery for Drone Regulatory Sandbox project by MOLIT in March this year, and will conduct drone logistics delivery in Incheon as an alternative to rapid logistics delivery and carbon reduction. It also established a U.S. branch in Arizona in June last year to expand its global market. Through an agreement with the New York Aerospace Exploration Agency (NUAIR), it will carry out a drone delivery demonstration project in New York, the U.S., with its own Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
